BEST OF FRANCE TOURS - BOOKING TERMS & CANCELLATION POLICY
Please read the following booking policy carefully and keep a copy for your records.
A minimum deposit of 20% of the cost of the tour is required for us to reserve a space for you.
Final payment is due at least 7 days prior to departure. If we do not receive final payment by this date, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation.
Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit cards (100% secured payment through our website) or eventually by bank transfer.
We would of course take legal action with respect to any credit card fraud detected in any transaction.
Our company has a strict policy of not giving, sharing, selling or otherwise providing anyone with information regarding your order and credit card information.
Important : In order to allow the charge, please make sure to call your credit card company/bank before, otherwise the payment might be automatically denied.
Please note that our website and our online gateway payment system are 100% secured.
Cancellation policy & fees
All notifications of cancellations must be received by email.
We will assess the following penalties on the day that your cancellation is received :
Cancellation made between 30 and 15 days prior to the service, 100% refund.
Cancellation made between 14 days and up to 96 hours before the tour (Paris time) 80% refund (20% downpayment non-refundable).
Cancellation made less than 96 hours before the tour (Paris time) no refund.
No refund, even partial, to any client who voluntary discontinues a tour.
In case Best of France Tours purchases entrance tickets in advance (such as Versailles tickets, Louvre entrance tickets, Eiffel Tower tickets, etc) the amount prepaid for these tickets is non refundable in case of any cancellation.
When your tour/transfer is scheduled at a specific departure time,
please make sure to be at the lobby of your hotel (or at the address of
your private accommodation) on time. Your guide will wait up to 30 minutes after the agreed time in front of your hotel/accommodation in Paris, in case the clients do not show up, this will be considered a "no show" and the clients will loose the tour booked on that day and there will be no refund.
Changes will be accommodated where possible, but cannot be guaranteed especially last minute.
All tour prices are subject to change without notice due to currency fluctuations.
We are not responsible for acts of God, strikes, flight delays/cancellations and civil disturbances.
In case of a strike at the castle of Versailles we will suggest to change the tour to another day if the clients and the tour company are available or we will offer to change the half day Versailles tour to another half day tour as a compensation but here are no refund in case of a cancellation less than 96 hours before the tour (Paris time).
Trip cancellation, medical and interruption travel insurance is highly recommended. In case you miss your tour because of a flight delay/cancellation, we can not be held responible for it and therefore your tour would be non refundable. The same applies if you would miss your train arriving into Paris.
Rain or shine tours: we can not change a tour last minute because of a bad weather forecast (rainy day in Giverny, Versailles, Normandy for example) However, in case of a snow forecast threatening your security on the road, we reserve ourselves the right to cancel the tour with a 100% refund.
In the event of a no-show without prior notice, our services will be charged in full.
For the Versailles and the Louvre private guided tours requests, we depend on the museum's availability for any private tour (giving the "right to speak" and the "cut-the-line access"). If one of our guides is available on the day you wish, we have the obligation to call the museum first to make a mandatory reservation for your party; if they have the availability we can give you the tour. If their agenda is fully booked on that day, we won't be able to give any private tour and will offer you another option/tour date. In this case, we would need to look with you for another day or we will refund your credit card.
Duration is indicated for each private tours : for example, when pick-up time is scheduled at 7:00 am for a 12-hour tour, return time will be around 7:00 pm. For any unexpected additional hour (due to waiting time, clients not respecting our time schedule and time recommendations during our tours) the clients will be charged 80 euros per additional hour.
Chauffeur driven tours include all taxes, insurance, gasoline, car maintenance, highway fees, parking fees, driver's salary and board.
Personal expenses and meals are not included in tours. Admissions/Skip the line entrance tickets included unless otherwise indicated.
