INVALIDS MUSEUM TOUR/NAPOLEON'S TOMB IN THE CRYPT

Your guided tour of the Invalids Museum will start by the visit of the old department showing the progress of the armours from the feudal/medieval army to the Royal Army. You will follow by the Modern Department from Louis XIV to Napoleon III (1643-1870), then we will show you the Contemporary Department from 1870 up to 1945 (Franco-Prussian War, WW1 and WW2 rooms)

You will finish the visit by a tour of the Dome of the Invalids, originally built for Louis XIV, between 1677 and 1706 to honour the Sun King Louis XIV and his Armies, hosting since 1861 the remains of Napoleon 1st (Bonaparte). You will also learn what happened there during the Occupation of Paris/World War II.
